Deborah,The founder of Jardim das Criancas was passionate about children and believed that all children are full of potential, naturally driven to learn by their innate curiosity, and capable of amazing things when they are allowed to develop at their own pace and explore their own interests. She believed that learning is not separate from play in childhood and also believed that we should nurture children's emotional and social development as much as their intellectual development. She was also a huge lover of nature and all things natural and believed that children should spend plenty of time outdoors for proper physical and mental and emotional development.

This continues to be the underlying philosophy here at JCM where children are free to be children, to explore, to grow, to learn in a way that suits them best.
